Acceptable Use Policy

1. Data misuse

• Sell, rent, or commercially redistribute raw end user data obtained through the Service
• Use end user data for purposes other than those disclosed to and authorized by the end user
• Aggregate end user data across customers for profiling, advertising, or data brokerage
• Retain end user data after consent is revoked or the customer relationship ends

2. Unauthorized access

• Access biller portals without explicit end user authorization
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures
• Use credentials or API keys belonging to another customer
• Probe, scan, or test the Service for vulnerabilities without written authorization

3. Harmful use

• Facilitate fraud, identity theft, or financial crimes
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code through the Service
• Interfere with the Service's operation or other customers' use

4. Scraping and automation abuse

• Systematically scrape biller portals for purposes unrelated to bill management
• Build competing data aggregation services using BillerAPI as the underlying infrastructure
• Submit automated requests designed to overwhelm biller portals or the platform

5. Misrepresentation

• Impersonate another person or organization
• Misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
• Present BillerAPI's services as your own without proper attribution where required

6. Enforcement

We may take action ranging from a written warning to account termination depending on severity. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice before enforcement, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the platform, other customers, or end users.
